Position: Director of Administration

Director of Administration (One Position):

Working under the supervision of the Chairman, the Director of Administration will be responsible for overseeing all administrative functions and administered the day-to-day running of the Administrative arms of the Commission. The Director of Administration will take direct instructions from the Chairman.

 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Report weekly to top management on the Commission’s administrative status;
  • Oversee all administrative functions as well as facilities to ensure efficient and consistent operations at the commission;
  • Conduct performance evaluation of administrative staff and further develop the Commission human resources and administration, enhancing professional development, compensation and benefits, training and recruiting;
  • Develop and maintain system of control in administration;
  • Work with the Human Resource office to establish and manage a comprehensive training program to educate employees regarding staff tools, policies and procedures;
  • Perform other task as may be assigned;

 

Education and Experience

A University degree (A minimum of Bachelor) in Management, Public Administration, Economics, or any of the social sciences or its related field.  Two to three years’ experience in administrative position is desirable.

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Demonstrates strong leadership, interpersonal and team building and negotiation skills;
  • Knowledge and skills in applying the principles, policies  and practices of general administration;
  • Ability to plan, organize, coordinates and direct the activities of staff;
  • Understanding of the institution’s principles, practices and structure;
  • Ability to work effectively with stakeholders, staff and officials, and others with whom the Commission is directly or indirectly related; and
  • Excellent writing and spoken communication skills, including presentations.
